NOTES:
- optics means light
- memory is erased when the computer is shut off
- memory is open
- storage is stored away
- didnamic means changes
- optical= stuff you can see
- DO NOT put a CD ROM in a microwave!!!
- there are 2 parts to a CD ROM
1) label
2) reflective metal survice
- cd's have millions of pits they are called bumps.
- 1 mb is a million bit
-700 million x 8= 5 billion little pits on a disc
- on the back of a hard drive. There is a printed circut card drive.
- if a cd is scratched up the brinory code get's messed up.
- stuff is stored in cd's by pits
- hard drive and floppy disc are heat stored optically
- in floppy disc there are magnets
- hard disc are hard and floppy disc are floppy.
